THE Voice of NAYAKENZ

The College media unit “THE Voice of NAYAKENZ” was started in 1936 by the name of “ School NEWS Unit” and its history runs back to more than 77 years. With the passage  of  time it was bit by bit able to progress even though lots of obitacles witch we easily disearded through constant effort and sense of success. We have many milestones on our way. We initiated NEWSpaper association in 1943 bringing a new dimension to our unit. Connecting the North & South of the Island a broadcasting system called “SIYANESARA” was first started in 1993 throught the channel of FM 103.1 which was added to the history as a herculean task. Whose telecasting mechanism was also designed and implemented by the college media unit. Under the maturity of the our college media unit we established the “Siyane Roo” telecasting system in 2008 lively telecasting the school sportsmeet through the internet. Challanging the challange we also would organize the all Island media day “ THE ABHIYOGA 2009” in the youth center Maharagama.

      Along with the word “ Challenge” you will automatically remember the media unit of Bandaranayake College. The Media Unit of our school was able to challenge the challenge in 2008 by adding new interpretation letting it spread on the world. A special project “ABHIYOGA 2009” in 2008, organizing a announcing competiton among the schools in district level was lunched by our school media unit. In respond to a challenge stood against our media unit. We organized this turning a new era to the media concept. We proudly mention that we could the foot prints of our past brothers 2009 to 2013. We timbly let you know that we were capable in competing with all other school so victoriously due to our dedication, determination and constant courage of the media unit.Through the “ABHIYOGA” media day of our school we try our level best to show others the vealistic media path beyond the so called age old traditional flow.

       Through the strong experience imported to us by our past media brothers, we could hold our annual media day undisturbed.We ushered a near era in our media page creating a new turning point by starting “Siyane Roo” telecasting programme over SLT Peo-TV channel NO 120 and though ANDROID with IOS technology.As Nayakenz we are bound to fulfil our utmost service to school even in future spreading the glory of our school in this global village.So all these things will come true due to our long sighted vision through the practical ,ission based on dedication, determination and unsurpassed courage due to the guidance of the pioneer of the school our principal Mr Lal Dissanayake.
